Durra (the pearl)
Durra means pearl — the one perfect, luminous sphere the Nile and the sea were both said to give up only rarely. Where the other pieces reach upward, Durra rests on a single round body, ribbed so that light turns inside it the way it turns inside a pearl.
The Piece A clear, optic-ribbed globe over a slender green stem, finished with gold detail and a pointed green finial. The globe is the whole argument: round, luminous, quietly holding the light.
