Nada Candlestick
dew, in Arabic
Nada — dew, in Arabic.
Some pieces announce themselves. Nada arrives the way dew does — quietly, and everywhere at once. Mouth-blown in clear glass in our Cairo atelier, its surface is scattered with tiny raised droplets, each tipped by hand in 24-karat gold before firing. In daylight it is almost invisible. By candlelight it becomes a constellation. Blown by breath, never moulded; no two droplet patterns repeat. Insured to your door; replaced without question if the journey is unkind.
